Nuclear Medicine is the use of
intravenous and / or oral, radioactive substances in the diagnosis and
treatment of diseases. The radioactive substance we use is Tc99m pertechnetate
and according to the examination, this radioactive substance is connected with
chemical agents and function (function) imaging is performed in organ-related
diseases. The procedure is called scintigraphy and the diagnostic tests
performed in our hospital; gastroesophageal reflux, bone (whole body, 3-phase),
kidney (dynamic Mag3 and static DMSA), meckel, testis and thyroid scintigraphy.
No treatment is applied in our unit. 2 specialist doctors and 2 x-ray
technicians are working in our unit.
